We only went and won two stars for Renegade Monk in the Great Taste Awards!
What does that mean, I hear you ask?
12,634 different food products were entered – and only 192 foods got the highest rating of three stars. 1,207 foods were awarded 2 stars – so less than 10% of entries achieved this.
A further 3,254 foods were awarded 1 star, so only 37% of entries were accredited this year.
The Guild of Fine Food describes a 1 star food as ‘Simply Delicious’ – while the two star foods are ‘Outstanding – Above and Beyond Delicious’. We’re not complaining with that description!
